The Chainz Bridge
This beautiful bridge spanning across the Danube is a Love Bridge. People place locks on the raillings of the bridge and toss the key into the Danube, signifying unbreakable love. This beautiful bridge is also the sight of several shows, and one that I happened to have watched is a K-Drama, Doctor Stranger. This was where the girl jumped into the river. A sad scene complimented by the beautiful view of the Danube.
Budapest
Budapest is the city of lights. On one side Buda, and the other Pest. 2 different sides of the same country, seperated by the beautiful Danube to give you one beautiful city. The bridge seen on the right is the Chainz Bridge, a stunning bridge that connects the 2 sides of this amazing city togehter. In the back is the stunning Buda Castle. It was first completed in 1265, however, Baroque style additions were made between 1749 to 1769 to increase the size of this breathtaking castle. When I went to Budapest, it was during the Christmas Season. As I roamed the city at night, Christmas Markets would be set up by locals to sell food, drinks and goods. The smell of mulled wine filled the air, along with the savoury smell of roasted chestnuts and roasted meats. Pine wood, too, could be smelled, coming from local woodworkers selling small Christmas ornaments. Life there was warm and lively, people were there, meeting up with their mates and having a warm drink together, celebrating the Christmas Season. Live Christmas bands would be playing in the background which made everything seem so heartwarming. Budapest was an absolute experience I would definitely want to go through again.
