Halloween Horror Nights (HHN) has always been my favourite event every year. I've attended this event since 2013, where it was only HHN3 at that time. I went to the event this year with (left to right, top to bottom) Javier, Shueh Yuan, Oliver, Sammi and of course my lifelong bestie. Javier is from SST fencing and part of the PRIME8 Bois. Shueh Yuan has been tagging along with me since 2014, and Oliver has since 2015. HHN8 was Sammi's first, after much convincing from yours truly.
Halloween Horror Nights is an event held annually by Universal Studios Singapore. It is an event that usually has 3 to 5 haunted houses and a couple of scare zones. I feel that this year, the event was more aesthetic rather than scary. Most of the houses felt more visually immersive; in that you were really taken into the scene that was being potrayed, instead of feeling like you were at a haunted house. However, I felt that this year, the scare factor was somewhat lacking. My friends and I agreed that this year did not show the usual 'instilled fear' one would usually feel when attending these sorts of events, however, to some extent, one would still, indeed, feel scared. But a veteran like me *cough cough* has nothing to worry about. ;)

This person here is my best friend of 7 years now. I got to know her in Henry Park Primary School, where we had (alot) some ups and downs. But somehow, we managed to get close over time and hey! this is us now! She is one of my HHN go-to buddies so this explains why she's in all the featured Halloween Horror Nights posts. I really really cherish the friendship we have and its one that I would definitely die for!

Lady Oiwa was one of the attractions of HHN8. She had her own Haunted House, Haunted of Oiwa. This is the story where she caught her husband cheating on her, and her husband found out, who then tried to kill her, successfully. However, her vengeful spirit came to haunt the entire household and the husband's mistress.

Okay so the reason why we were posing with metal straws can be explained. The theme of the this scarezone was the destruction of Earth due to our un-environmentally friendly way of life. So creatures started turning against us. So here's us posing with metal straws showing we care about Earth because WE DO !

Thought this was cool and kinda lifelike. The theme of the other scarezone was Cannibalism, so I guess they've eaten lots of heads.

This is the first movie themed house in Singapore Halloween Horror Nights. Although it was not that scary, the visuals were great and quite realistic. It also mirrored what the show looked like, so I you were a fan, you would've loved it. But if you had no idea what a Demigorgon was, then you probably wouldn't've found it scary, or entertaining.

This was the beautiful view walking back towards VivoCity. It was a long night, however, taking a long walk together with friends was great and relaxing. It was indeed a fun night. Can't wait for 2019's event !
