Innsbruck I
The first time I went to Austria, we went up a tall mountain in Innsbruck. Here's the wonderful view from the funicular we were taking up the ski mountain.
Innsbruck II
Here's me, sitting on ice after sliding down the hill behind me, on my bum. It hurt, but it was absolutely, most definitely fun.
Neo-Gothic Church
A fairly common site in Austria. A Gothic, or, Neo-Gothic -esque styled church. These churches usually have the distinct spikey spires. These designs were refined, and were succeeded from the Renaissance Style of Churches. The main difference between a Gothic and Neo-Gothic would be that Gothic Styles were built during the Gothic period, while Neo-Gothic Styles were built out of is time period. I truely wonderful site to behold. Ain't a CHIJMES or Saint Peter's.
Schrobrunn Palace
Schrobrunn Palace is a beautiful palace with a very large garden. Some even call it the Versailles of Austria. During the reign of Maria Theresa, this served as the Imperial Summer Residence. It was in possession of the Habsburg Dynasty since the reign of Maximilian the II. In 1992, the administration of the palace was entrusted to a limited-liability company, owned by the Republic of Austria. It then became a beautiful tourist destination, and the rest, is what we can visit today.
Hofburg Palace
The Hofburg Palace is one of many imperial buildings that existed during the reign of Maria Theresa. One of them is the Hofburg Palace. In this palace, houses the Spanish Riding School, Museums containing items that the Hapsburgs used during their reign. Several other buildings include the Fine Art Museum and Natural Science Museum. These buildings form a ring, in German, it is called the Ringstraße; German for Ring Street. This ring surrounds a beautiful statue of Maria Theresa, it is seeen that she is looking upon all the buildings she had brought up during her reign. Truely mother of Imperial Austria.
